WW1 COMMEMORATION 2018
On 11th November 2018, the United Kingdom and its friends overseas marked the day 100 years ago when the guns fell silent at the end of the First World War. Our villages commemorated this too with a number of events at the New Victory Hall, Neatishead over the weekend.
Friday 9th and Saturday 10th November, 7.30pm
“Tomorrow is Yours”, WW1 drama performed by NABS (Neatishead and Barton Society) the local amateur dramatics group, the sequel Betty and Davy’s story “When I Come Home“.
Saturday 10th November
Farmers’ Market 9am-12noon with Remembrance display
Exhibition – Remembrance and Children’s reflective writing. 1.30-4.30pm. Refreshments

Ecumenical Remembrance Service 10.30am
Exhibition – “Let’s look forward”, Remembrance and Children’s reflective writing, 1.30-3pm. Refreshments
Victory Tea, 3.30-5pm,
Poppy Trail 4th-16th November
Our Poppy Trail discovered the homes of the 32 men from our villages who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
